KBFUS
Since the opening of its offices in New York City in 2002, the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) has served as a knowledgeable bridge between American donors and nonprofits overseas. We work with individuals, families, corporations and foundations, and help them support their favorite causes and organizations abroad.
In addition to our work with donors, we partner with over 500 European and African nonprofits through a tool called an “American friends fund”. With an American friends fund at KBFUS, nonprofits have a cost-effective solution to receive tax-deductible gifts from supporters in the United States. They can avoid the trouble and expense of setting up their own U.S.-based charity and KBFUS handles donor support and back-office administration, including tax receipts.
Over the past 3 years, KBFUS facilitated close to $100 million in grants, providing much needed funding to hundreds of nonprofits working in a diversity of fields.
KBFUS is a U.S. public charity within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code. With a mission to facilitate thoughtful, effective giving to Europe and Africa – and beyond, KBFUS is committed to transparency, flexibility, and inclusiveness.
We would be delighted to hear from you and help facilitate your international fundraising. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our team, info@kbfus.org, and one of our dedicated staff would be happy to be in touch.
